Dr. Shankar Kumar Selvaraja, a co-founder of AGNIT Semiconductors, is an Associate Professor at the Centre for Nano Science and Engineering (CeNSE) at IISc and Chair of the National Nano Fabrication Centre (NNfC) at IISc. Prior to joining IISc in 2014, he worked at imec, Belgium. With over 15 years of experience in silicon and integrated photonics, he has significantly advanced CMOS processes and device technologies for high-speed optical interconnects and sensing applications. Dr. Selvaraja holds six international patents, has published over 150 research articles, and received the DST-SERB Early Career Researcher Award and the Visvesvaraya Young Faculty Research Fellowship. His current research focuses on silicon photonic integrated circuits, on-chip sensors, neuromorphic photonics, and quantum photonic integrated circuits. He is a senior member of IEEE and a member of SPIE and the Optical Society of America.
